Heat the 2 tablespoons of oil with the minced garlic in a skillet over medium heat.
Add the bread cubes and sauté until they are lightly browned. Set aside on a paper towel lined plate until you are ready to add them to the salad.
Make the Dressing:
Place the garlic cloves, egg, olive oil, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and lemon juice in an immersion blender container (or in a standard blender).
Blend on low speed until a rich creamy dressing forms.
Make the Salad:
Tear the lettuce into bite-sized pieces and arrange in a large bowl.
Pour the prepared dressing over the greens and toss well.
Add the croutons, Parmesan cheese and bacon and toss again.
