Celebrate spring with this Easter Popcorn Recipe. Sweet and salty, it's a perfect treat for Easter baskets. Serve in bunny cups as a party favor for Easter celebrations.
1 ½cupswhite chocolate wafersI used Ghirardelli white chocolate wafers
1 ½cupsmini marshmallows divided, set aside ½ cup
¾cupWilton candy meltslight pink
1cupchocolate Easter m&m candies
sprinklesoptional
Instructions
Pour popcorn onto a large parchment paper lined baking sheet. Sprinkle 1 cup mini marshmallows evenly over top of popcorn.
In a small bowl, melt the chocolate chips in the microwave in 20 second intervals. Do this slowly, as white chocolate can burn very quickly! Stir between every interval and lower the time to 10 seconds when it starts to melt. Pour the melted white chocolate evenly over popcorn and marshmallows and mix to coat.
Melt pink candy melts in the microwave (also very slowly as you did the white chocolate). Use a spoon to drizzle over top of the popcorn. Sprinkle on candies and sprinkles while the chocolate is still wet.
Cool and completely dry before eating, about 20 minutes.
Notes
If you can't find the melting wafers, I recommend a high quality white chocolate bar.
Other options to add in: mini pretzels, jelly beans, chocolate mini eggs or any Easter candies of pastel colors.
Make this sweet snack any time of year by using dark chocolate to drizzle over the popcorn rather than pink candy melts.
