Prepare the stuffing according to package instructions. 1 box store bought stuffing
Preheat the oven to 375°F and spray or line a baking pan with parchment paper.
In a small bowl combine the salt, pepper and garlic powder and your poultry or Italian seasoning. Sprinkle the seasoning on both sides of your chicken breasts. 1 1/2 teaspoons salt, 1 teaspoon ground black pepper, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning, 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
Take a sharp knife and cut horizontally into the side of each chicken breast to create a large pocket into the chicken.
Place a large spoonful of the stuffing into the pocket and secure with toothpicks or wrap with butcher's twine.
Place the chicken breasts onto the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until the internal temperature of the chicken is 165°F. Use a meat thermometer to test the chicken.
Before serving, remove the toothpicks or twine. Best served with gravy. Garnish with fresh parsley, thyme or rosemary.
Notes
Cook time will be determined by the size of the chicken breasts. Smaller chicken breasts will cook quicker than larger chicken breasts. For the photos, large chicken breasts were used and the cooking time was 50 minutes. Cook the chicken breasts until the internal temperature of the middle of the chicken breast reaches 165 degrees F.
