This easy red wine vinegar cream cheese dip is the perfect make ahead dip for veggies, bread, chips and crackers. Perfect for holiday appetizers or any day snacking.

I’m usually not a big snacker. I’m content to eat at meals and maybe sneak a little puppy chow in the afternoon, but all bets are off when it comes to cheese.

We almost always have cheese in the fridge, and I can take a block and eat it without even slicing it. The only thing that makes my addiction worse? Cheese balls and cheese dips. This red wine vinegar cream cheese dip is so addicting when paired with your favorite veggies and chips. And it’s easy to make too!

Why you’ll love this recipe:

  • It’s only 5 ingredients and takes 10 minutes.
  • Prepare it the day before or eat it right away.
  • Easy appetizer for holidays or game day.
  • Add to a charcuterie board for a pretty look.

What you’ll need:

Although you don’t 100% need a hand mixer to mix this up, it will make it easier since cream cheese is thick. However, if the cream cheese is at room temperature, it should mix up smoothly.

  • Cream cheese. We use full fat cream cheese for the best flavor and creamiest texture, but you can use reduced fat if you’d like.
  • Onion. Use fresh chopped onion if at all possible. If you use dried onion, I’d reduce to just one tablespoon.
  • Red wine vinegar. Not red wine, but red wine vinegar. We have not tried this with any other type of vinegar.
  • Parsley flakes and garlic salt. This is for seasoning, so add more if you’d like.

How to Make Red Wine Vinegar Cream Cheese Dip

Get ready to make the easiest dip ever. It’s easy as 1-2-3.

  1. Place all of the ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
  2. With a hand mixer, mix all ingredients together until creamy.
  3. Transfer to a pretty plate or bowl and garnish with a little extra parsley.

Can you make this dip in advance?

Yes! You can make this dip one day in advance. It is best if you use it within 3 days. Remember to store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for best results.

What to Serve with Cream Cheese Dip

Here are a few of our favorites:

  • Fresh Vegetables: carrots, celery, broccoli, cauliflower, red peppers and snow peas are some of our favorites.
  • Crackers: Think Ritz, Triscuits, Wheat Thins or Townhouse FlipSides (my personal favorite).
  • Chips: Potato chips (best with a thicker wavy chip so they hold to the cream cheese) or pretzels.
  • Bread: Rye bread, pretzel bread or Italian bread are great choices. You can even serve the dip in a bread bowl.
  • Cheeses: I may be strange, but I like to dip cheese in cheese ๐Ÿ˜‚ . Slice up sharp cheddar, parmesan or colby cheese to pair with this creamy dip.
