- only 5 ingredients
How to Make Peppermint Patty Cookies
Mix up the dough. It’s just aย cakeย mix, an egg, cream cheese, and butter. The dough will be very thick. That’s exactly how it is supposed to be. It will be soft, but shouldn’t be so sticky that you can’t handle it to roll balls.
Divide the dough into 16 balls. Then, unwrap about 16 snack size York peppermint patties.
Take a ball of dough, flatten it and wrap around a peppermint patty. You want the peppermint patty to be completely covered or else it might not stay in your cookie.
Place the cookies on a lightly greased cookie sheet, or use a silpat baking mat. Sprinkle the cookies with sprinkles if you’d like.
Bake the cookies for 10-11 minutes. Allow them to cool on a baking sheet for a few minutes before moving them to a wire rack. They will be very soft!
How to Store Peppermint Patty Cookies
These peppermint patty cookies really do stay soft for days stored in a container. You can even store them in the freezer for about 6 weeks, pull them out, let them defrost, and bite into some heavenly goodness.

I also rolled in powdered sugar before baking. 4 stars for the process. They get a 5 rating for taste – Tasted very good and I added vanilla to the mix. I also followed baking directions for the first batch and they spread more. Put the next pan of cookies in the fridge to chill first about 15-20 minutes before… Read more »
