Meet raspberry cream cheese dip, the simplest appetizer or dessert ever. Two ingredients and two-minute prep give you the perfect salty and sweet treat!

Today I’m sharing with you the simplest little recipe ever. I’ve used the words “simple” and “easy” many times in the past, but this recipe beats all. It’s a Raspberry Cream Cheese Dip and it takes two ingredients and less than 5 minutes prep before you can pick up a cracker and start dipping into this sweet dip.

We’ve been making this easy cream cheese raspberry dip for over 20 years, but it has recently become very popular for how easy and versatile it is. It may seem like a dessert dip, but I typically serve it as an appetizer before a meal.

Even if you’re scared to death of the kitchen you can handle this one, friends. Just dip in some buttery, round crackers and watch it disappear.

Two Ingredients Needed

The two ingredients? Cream cheese and preserves. You can use any type of preserves or jam that you like, but I highly suggest trying some hot pepper raspberry preserves if you don’t mind a little bit of spicy flavor.

Now if you don’t like spicy, the minute you see “hot pepper” and include it with raspberry preserves, you may turn up your nose. Trust me though. This jelly has a little bit of a kick to it, but you’ll not mind the fact that there are peppers inside these preserves.

Make the Raspberry Cream Cheese Dip

This is a perfect last minute appetizer because there is no prep. No chilling time needed. No flavors that need to meld together.

Simply put the block of cream cheese on a plate. Then pour the jam over the top. Easy as that. It’s ready to serve!

Jam and Cream Cheese: Other Flavors

Wanting something other than raspberry? Try cranberry preserves, orange marmalade, or even our peach freezer jam or blueberry lemon refrigerator jam.

What to Serve with Raspberry Cream Cheese Dip

Our favorite crackers are butter crackers, Triscuits, Wheat Thins or pita chips.

For a dessert dip, try pretzels, vanilla wafers, shortbread cookies or graham crackers.

Iโ€™ve been making this for years using a layer of green jalapeรฑo sauce over the cream cheese before putting Smuckers raspberry preserves covering the top. Itโ€™s always the first appetizer gone! Merry Christmas!

Thank you for this easy appetizer recipe. I bought Bonne Maman’s raspberry preserves and wished after-the-fact that I had a bowl to put both the cream cheese and preserves. The preserves ran a bit. It didn’t matter. This was a hit and most were interested in this recipe, so I am sharing this one and will have to try the pepper raspberry preserves another time.
